SDPW Chairman reviews progress of University of Al Dhaid projects

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Engineer Ali Saeed Sultan Mohammed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) conducted a field inspection Thursday morning of several ongoing development projects at the University of Al Dhaid, including the university theatre, mosque, and a range of key facilities being developed as part of the university’s comprehensive expansion plan.

Inspection of the university theatre project

During the visit, His Excellency reviewed the progress of the university theatre project, regarded as one of the institution’s most significant academic and cultural landmarks. He received a detailed briefing from engineers on the remaining phases of construction, as well as the implementation of advanced technical and acoustic systems in line with the latest international standards in theatre design.

Progress on the university mosque

The tour also included an inspection of the university mosque, where construction and finishing works are advancing steadily. His Excellency highlighted the importance of the mosque in serving students and faculty members and in fostering a spiritually enriching environment on campus. He stressed the need to maintain the approved project timeline while ensuring that architectural details reflect the distinctive aesthetic identity of the Emirate of Sharjah.

Development of service and administrative facilities

In addition, His Excellency the Chairman of SDPW reviewed progress on several service facilities and administrative buildings across the university campus. He emphasized the importance of creating a fully integrated educational environment that supports students’ needs and aligns with the Emirate’s ongoing academic development goals.

His Excellency affirmed that all projects are being carried out in line with the directives of the wise leadership to strengthen educational institutions and provide advanced infrastructure that supports Sharjah’s vision for excellence in higher education.
