Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) organised a specialised engineering lecture on the Sustainable School Design Guidelines, attended by engineers and designers. The initiative forms part of the department’s efforts to promote sustainability standards in educational facilities in line with Sharjah’s sustainable development goals.

Overview of sustainable design standards and requirements

The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of the guidelines, covering sustainable design standards, energy and water efficiency requirements, indoor air quality improvement measures, safety standards, resource management, and the design of learning spaces that encourage creativity and interaction.
