“Marami” issues special edition for 54th Eid Al Etihad

Sharjah 24: Marami, the quarterly digital magazine published by the Sharjah Family and Community Council's Cultural Office, issued a special printed edition commemorating the 54th Eid Al Etihad and distributed it as a gift to staff members, government entities, and a number of media and cultural institutions.

Editorial by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi

The edition begins with an editorial by the Editor-in-Chief, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, headlined "A Tale Through Which We Raised Our Children." In her post, she discussed the importance of raising children to love their homeland, underscoring that the future belongs to generations who carry on their forefathers' ambitions and continue the country's path with pride, tenacity, and determination. She emphasised that raising children with a strong sense of belonging in a nation built on unity, courage, and a shared purpose is critical to preserving the UAE's growth.

She further highlighted that the UAE's strength rests in investing in its people, urging parents to raise children with values that will fortify them against life's hardships, provide them with knowledge, and encourage them to contribute meaningfully to the country's progress. She noted that the UAE continues to raise generations that are proud of their heritage and confident about representing their country in regional and global arenas.

Special Edition Content

The special issue included various articles, interviews, and reports about the UAE's history, heritage, accomplishments, and future goals. It featured an interview with Dr Khalifa Al Tunaiji on food security and insights from poet Abdullah Al Hadiya on how the natural environment of Ras Al Khaimah shapes his poetry. Syrian artist Kawthar Sabri reflected on how the UAE's landscape influences her work, while Rawiya Al Samahi shared remarks on how her journey began in Fujairah.

Additional features included "Info – Marami," which reviewed major decisions made during the UAE's 1971 founding year, as well as a detailed dossier investigating the country's historical locations and archaeological heritage. The issue also included contributions from renowned writers expressing their love and passion for the UAE, including Managing Editor Salha Ghabesh with her piece titled "I speak of her."
