The Council examined a proposal from the Committee for Violations, Health Services and Environmental Protection regarding the regulation of bicycle, electric bike, and motorbike use in Sharjah. The aim is to improve traffic safety and promote sustainable mobility. Members reviewed feedback from relevant authorities and emphasised the importance of establishing clear rules and raising public awareness about safe usage.
The Social Communication Committee showcased its recent programmes, including the “Pre-Marriage Preparation Programme”, carried out in partnership with various entities to support declaring 2026 as the Year of the Family. Outcomes indicated increased awareness and preparedness among participants, with a greater emphasis on family stability and broadening support opportunities for youth.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Salem Ali Salem Al Muhairi expressed his gratitude to all committees for their ongoing efforts in serving the community. He also praised the strong cooperation with Sharjah Municipality, particularly its prompt response to council recommendations, which improves service quality and benefits the public interest.
