The event featured 45 athletes representing six local and international clubs and academies.
In the junior category, Kalba Women’s Sports Club delivered an impressive performance, finishing second overall in the medals table. The team secured two gold medals through Nada Rashid (–44 kg) and Hour Al Marashda (–57 kg). They also earned three silver medals by Salma Abdulrahman (–63 kg), Aya Adnan (–70 kg), and Hessa Abdullah (+70 kg), along with two bronze medals awarded to Hiyam Al Zahmi and Aisha Hassan in the –52 kg class.
In the cadets division, athletes from Sharjah Women’s Sports Club earned two valuable medals, indicating the team’s promising start to the season. Amina Yousef Al Mazmi claimed silver in the –40 kg category, while Aisha Ali Hassan took bronze in the –44 kg category, highlighting the squad’s technical progress.
Commenting on the results, Souria Haddad, Judo Technical Director at Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, said the championship served as an important evaluation point for the athletes’ development. "The Kalba International Championship showcased the readiness and tactical discipline of our teams from Sharjah and Kalba. The diversity of local and international clubs added significant value, giving our athletes direct exposure to different competitive styles that help refine their skills. We are proud of their fighting spirit and confidence, and we will continue working according to precise development plans ahead of future competitions.”
