The championship saw strong competition across the junior, youth, and young adult categories, with notable participation from Sharjah and Khorfakkan Women's Sports Clubs.

The competitions resulted in outstanding achievements for the participating Sharjah Women's Sports Clubs, most notably Sharjah Women's Sports Club winning both the junior and youth categories, confirming its dominance in both. Khorfakkan Women's Sports Club also made a remarkable debut in the athletics team's first official competition, securing third place in the junior category and second place in the youth category. This achievement reflects the team's progress and readiness to compete in upcoming championships.

Khorfakkan Women's Sports Club came in second place thanks to the efforts of its athletes: Shaima Abu Talib, Nouf Bader, Shawq Ibrahim, and Al Hanouf Khamis.

Youth category results

Sharjah Women's Sports Club athlete Ismita Ganesh secured second place in the individual standings, in a race that witnessed fierce competition until the very last moments.

Regarding their first participation in local championships, Abu Bakr Kaki, the athletics coach (running specialisation) at Khorfakkan Women's Sports Club, said: "This participation is a crucial step in shaping the identity of the athletics team within the club. We focused during the past period on building a strong physical foundation for the athletes before moving on to the competitive aspect. The results we achieved today reflect the athletes' commitment and their ability to adapt to the nature of the races and their varying distances. What distinguishes the team is its rapid grasp of the running demands in different age groups, which was clearly demonstrated in the junior and youth races through their organized teamwork. We look forward to enhancing this development by expanding the number of participants and developing training programmes that meet the needs of each age group, striving to build a team capable of consistently competing and achieving better results in future championships."

For her part, Hind Al Kabawi, Technical Director of Athletics at Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, said: “This achievement is the fruit of continuous, systematic work. We began by building a training system based on the gradual development of the athletes, not just on immediate physical readiness. Over the past period, we focused on improving running efficiency, developing the ability to manage pace during races, and enhancing the quality of team performance in competitions, which was clearly evident in the junior and youth categories.

Achievements reflecting a strategic vision and steady growth

These results embody the advanced path that women’s sports are taking in the Emirate of Sharjah, where clubs continue to implement a clear vision based on building a strong base of athletes capable of competing in various age groups. With the successive achievements of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club in this championship, and the impressive performance of Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club in its first official participation in athletics, the features of an integrated sports system based on planning, talent nurturing, and providing a training environment capable of transforming daily efforts into tangible achievements on the field are reinforced.”
