SEWA receives an honorary shield from SSSD

Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has received a shield and a certificate of appreciation from the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) in recognition of its sustained cooperation and community-focused efforts.

The honour was presented during a visit by a delegation from the Sharjah Social Services Department to the authority’s headquarters, in recognition of the authority’s long-term partnership and its commitment to serving the community through effective collaboration and institutional integration.

Strengthening institutional partnerships

Majid Huraimel Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Corporate Support at SEWA, welcomed the delegation and affirmed that the authority’s strategy prioritises strengthening cooperation with various institutions to serve diverse segments of society. He praised the Social Services Department for its impactful community initiatives, noting that this recognition creates opportunities for deeper collaboration across the humanitarian and social sectors.

Alia Al Zaabi, Director of the Social Assistance Department at the Sharjah Social Services Department, highlighted the authority’s pivotal role in supporting the department’s initiatives. She noted that this recognition underscores the importance of strong partnerships and direct communication in achieving meaningful outcomes that benefit the community.
