Khalid Al Midfa hails Al Bataeh Festival for supporting PwDs

Sharjah 24: Dr Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, visited the 8th Al Bataeh Folk Festival and praised the organisers for their efforts. He noted the variety of activities and events and welcomed the inclusion of the people with disabilities (PwDs) in the festival’s programmes. He commended the organisers for including PwDs and providing opportunities that highlighted their abilities.

Dr Al Midfa led a delegation from Al Thiqah, accompanied by Mohammed Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director of the club, during a visit to the festival at Al Bataeh Public Park on Tuesday evening. They were welcomed on arrival by Mohammed Abdullah Bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Bataeh, and Abdullah Sultan Bin Saloumeh Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality.

Dr Al Midfa commended the festival for its well-structured events that involved diverse community segments. He praised the organisers for reaching a high standard of management and securing a prominent position among cultural events in the emirate.

He added that the festival makes a deliberate effort to involve PwDs in its activities and reaffirmed Al Thiqah’s support for initiatives that allow this important group to showcase their talents and creativity.
