The event included a range of recreational activities designed to enhance positive interaction among participants and foster a motivating environment built on teamwork and collaboration.
The department said the initiative aims to strengthen professional ties, increase job satisfaction and support employees’ mental wellbeing, thereby contributing positively to institutional performance and the achievement of departmental objectives.
Commenting on the occasion, Mohammed Yousuf, Director of the Public Services Department and Head of the Sports Association, said: “Organising such activities reflects the department’s commitment to caring for its employees, strengthening institutional belonging and creating a positive work environment that enhances performance efficiency and motivates staff to sustainable contribution.”
He added: “The Sports Association at the Sharjah Social Services Department is keen to promote sports and recreational activities that improve employees’ physical and mental health, strengthen cooperation and communication, and reinforce teamwork and institutional belonging.”
He noted that the association also works to organise a range of sports and leisure programmes, encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, and promote a culture of work-life balance in support of the department’s goals and improved job performance.
