During a panel on “What Does the Next Year of Venture Capital Look Like,” speakers highlighted the promising regional investment landscape. Tala Al Jabri, Founder and Managing Partner of Wyld VC, cited the region’s low energy costs, progressive policies, and growing AI talent as key advantages. She stressed that investing in technical talent is crucial for the GCC to become an AI superpower.
Christos Mastoras, Founder and Managing Partner of Iliad Partners, noted that major European investors are entering the region, with Greek banks investing alongside regional partners. Tushar Singhvi of Crescent Enterprises added that the Middle East now represents about 30% of the company’s venture investment allocation, reflecting ecosystem maturity and international confidence.
Paula Tavangar, CIO at Injaz Capital, said Saudi Arabia led the region in large-ticket deals in 2025, with 250 major transactions recorded. She also highlighted opportunities in biotech, technology transfer, and startup accelerators.
A second Day 1 panel, “Inside the CEO Role: What it Takes to Grow,” explored leadership and sustainable growth. Speakers shared practical advice such as setting boundaries, prioritising health, staying customer-focused, and maintaining composure under pressure.
