Hatta, SWS Club win UAE Athletics Federation Cup

Sharjah 24: Hatta Club secured the UAE Athletics Federation Cup title in the youth category, while Sharjah Women’s Sports Club captured the girls’ junior title at the conclusion of the championship competitions.

Two-day competition sees broad participation

The Federation Cup competitions for the youth and junior categories were held over two days at the Dubai Police Officers Club track, featuring 381 male and female athletes from 18 clubs.

Youth category results

Hatta Club topped the youth category with seven gold medals. Al Nasr Club finished second with three gold medals, and Abu Dhabi Athletics Club placed third with two gold medals.

Junior Girls’ category results

Sharjah Women’s Sports Club dominated the junior girls’ category, winning the cup with 10 gold medals. Abu Dhabi Club finished second with six gold medals, while Al Wasl Club placed third with one gold medal.

Junior Boys’ category results

Abu Dhabi Club claimed first place in the junior boys’ category with six gold medals. Al Nasr Club finished second with four gold medals, and Sharjah Club secured third with three gold medals.

Federation highlights performance progress

The UAE Athletics Federation praised the high level of performance, competitiveness, and technical skill displayed throughout the championship, reflecting significant progress in youth athletics. The Federation also commended the efforts of clubs, staff, referees, and organising teams.
