Staff reviewed their 2025 achievements and 2026 targets in the presence of Secretary-General Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, department directors, section heads, and employees. The plans reflect a forward-looking vision aligned with modern administrative and technological developments based on innovation, excellence, and sustainable quality, reinforcing Sharjah’s standing in service of the Holy Quran.
Al Tuneiji said adopting innovation and global best practices has enabled the Academy to adapt to rapid changes and deliver major projects serving postgraduate students and specialists in Quranic recitations. He stressed the importance of continuous evaluation and noted the Academy’s local and international leadership through scientific and museum projects and advanced digital archiving and automation within the Sharjah Electronic Maqraa.
He added that major works, including the Rhetorical Tafsir Encyclopedia and the Recitation Methodologies Encyclopedia, were completed in a short time thanks to a mission-driven team dedicated to serving the Quran and supporting students worldwide.
Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani said the Academy achieved qualitative progress across core sectors in 2025 through its scientific projects and global Maqraa, granting 1,935 Quranic ijazahs in individual and combined recitations. The Academy now serves learners from 172 countries and runs the “Citizen Reciter” programme, with 11 certified reciters and 47 Emirati students enrolled.
He noted more than 12,201 official and specialist visits, four full Quran recitation recordings, and the launch of the AI-powered “Al Mueen” app to support reading, recitation, and memorisation. The Academy also expanded research partnerships, participated in eight exhibitions, and organised seminars with several universities, while preparing a new milestone map of achievements for 2026.
