Organised by the Sharjah Heritage Institute, this year's festival is being held in front of Al Dhaid Fort under the theme "The Glow of Authenticity," inviting residents and visitors to immerse themselves in a setting rich with history and tradition.
Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, said Al Dhaid is hosting a particularly special edition this year, marked by the completion and inauguration of several heritage projects. These include Souq Sharia Al Dhaid, the Al Madarasa Tower, the Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum, and the Al Dhaid Literary Majlis.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24,” Dr Al Musallam added that the completion of this architectural ensemble offers a distinctive model for reviving historic districts. He described the event as a unique opportunity for visitors to step back in time and experience the past within an authentic environment that reflects the region’s identity and rich heritage.
He encouraged the public to attend and enjoy the festival’s activities, which will continue until 15 February.
