Reinforcing the role of the family
The forum was organised to reinforce the role of the family as a key partner in the educational process and to promote faith-based and ethical values in children in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, thus contributing to building a conscious and cohesive generation.
Instilling Islamic values
The lecture was delivered by Sheikh Abdulkarim Kamal, who addressed the importance of preparing children psychologically and spiritually before the arrival of Ramadan. He emphasised the necessity of instilling Islamic values in them through practical educational methods, such as gradually accustoming them to fasting, encouraging them to maintain their prayers, fostering a spirit of giving and volunteerism, and organizing their time to achieve a balance between worship, study, and rest.
Sheikh Abdulkarim Kamal also discussed the role of good role models within the family and the impact of positive dialogue in establishing correct understandings among children regarding the virtues of the holy month. He affirmed that a conscious family is the foundation for building a cohesive and interconnected society.
Significant attendance and interaction
The programme targeted parents and community members, and witnessed significant attendance and interaction from participants who raised questions and offered their insights on the best practical ways to raise children in a balanced and faith-based manner.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Council, Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, honoured the cooperating partners from the Department of Islamic Affairs - Dibba Al Hisn Branch and His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Karim Kamal for their valuable and enriching presentation, stressing the continuation of organising such initiatives that promote effective community partnership.
