Professor Awad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, stated that the conference features 90 male and female researchers from 23 countries, representing 45 academic and scientific institutions.
He noted that the event is being held over two days in a hybrid format, both in person at the university’s headquarters and virtually.
Al Khalaf emphasised that the importance of the conference lies in highlighting the role of humanities in serving society and promoting human values.
He explained that the humanities are essential in shaping individuals and strengthening communities, making them vital for sustainable development.
The conference agenda covers a broad spectrum of topics across humanities disciplines, including Arabic language, Sharia, Islamic studies, communication, media, and teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
Al Khalaf stated that these fields are included in the university’s academic programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
