GCC reaffirms solidarity with UAE, rejects Iranian allegations

Albudaiwi said the allegations reflected Iran’s continued escalatory and provocative approach towards countries in the region. He added that Iran had continued attacks targeting UAE territory, alongside attempts to distort facts in violation of international law and norms.

Warning over regional security and stability

The GCC Secretary-General said the Iranian statement demonstrated a clear intent to escalate tensions and undermine regional security and stability, adding that it reflected a hostile approach that threatens regional security and the safety of its peoples.

GCC expresses full solidarity with the UAE

Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC states’ full solidarity with the UAE and support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, stability and sovereignty. He stressed that the UAE’s security forms an integral part of the collective security of all GCC member states.
