Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), represented by the Kalba office, held a meeting with the Kalba Municipal Council and the Wadi Al Helo Suburb Council. The meeting was attended by Dr Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality and Chairman of the Wadi Al Helo Suburb Council, and Eng. Yousif Al Hammadi, Director of the Kalba Department at the authority, along with several council members.
The discussions focused on strengthening joint cooperation, reviewing the progress of development projects in the area, and addressing key needs and observations related to electricity and water services. The participants also explored solutions and proposals aimed at improving service efficiency and responding quickly to residents’ requirements, in line with quality of life objectives and sustainable development plans in Kalba City and the Wadi Al Helo area.
Field visit to development sites
Following the meeting, a field tour was conducted to residential areas, valleys, and farms to review ongoing development projects and infrastructure improvements in the region.

Eng. Yousif Al Hammadi emphasised that the authority operates in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide the best services to citizens and residents across the emirate. He noted that Kalba City and Wadi Al Helo receive special attention due to their geographical nature and ongoing growth.
He also highlighted the importance of continued coordination between government entities to enhance institutional integration, ensure efficient and reliable delivery of essential services, and preserve resources for future generations.

For their part, the Kalba Municipal Council and Wadi Al Helo Suburb Council praised the authority’s efforts in delivering high-quality services and its prompt response to requirements, stressing that such integration between government bodies contributes to improving quality of life and enhancing the well-being of residents in the city and suburb.
