Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Sports Club delivered an outstanding performance at the UAE Stars Karate Cup, held with wide participation from clubs across the country, as the club’s athletes claimed an impressive collection of trophies and medals reflecting their growing technical and physical development.
Strong performances in kata competitions

In the kata category, the team secured three second-place trophies along with 15 silver medals across cadets, juniors and youth divisions. The results highlighted the athletes’ precision, discipline and high technical standards in one of karate’s most demanding disciplines.

Continued success in kumite events

The team also excelled in kumite competitions, winning three third-place trophies and 18 bronze medals in cadets, juniors and youth categories. The achievement reinforced the club’s strength in martial arts and its ability to compete strongly across different age groups and combat events.

Collective effort behind the achievement

The accomplishment reflected the combined efforts of players, coaches and parents. Athletes demonstrated determination and competitive spirit, while the technical staff ensured they were fully prepared for the championship. Parents also played a vital role through their continuous support and encouragement.

The results add to the club’s growing record of achievements and strengthen its position as one of the leading institutions for developing sporting talent capable of representing both the emirate and the UAE in major competitions.

Commitment to youth development

Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Sports Club, expressed pride in the achievement, describing the results as a natural outcome of the strong support provided to sport in Sharjah by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the continued follow-up of the Sharjah Sports Council.

He said the club remains committed to empowering young athletes and providing all necessary resources to help them succeed, adding that the large number of medals and trophies achieved across various age groups reflects the strength of the club’s karate programme and promises a bright future ahead.
