Al Dhaid hosts Sharjah Junior Rapid Chess Championship

Al Ketbi explained that the championship brought together players from Al Dhaid Club, Mleiha Club, and Al Bataeh Club, offering young participants an important opportunity to enhance their skills and gain experience by competing against new opponents in a variety of matches.

He noted that the tournament was well received by participating clubs and fostered an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction among players, highlighting its role in preparing the youth for participation in larger competitions in the future.

Al Ketbi added that the event marks a positive step in supporting chess talent in the Central Region, emphasising the importance of continuing such initiatives to build a promising generation in the sport.
