From August to October, the department successfully delivered 155 condolence services, highlighting the significant demand and importance of this offering.
These services encompassed the booking of majlises, the provision of tents and signboards, as well as sending SMS messages of condolence. During this period, the Government Communication Department, through the Internal Communication Office, arranged for 71 majlises and set up 84 tents, alongside fulfilling 75 requests for signboards to guide attendees to mourning sites.
To ensure families of the deceased felt supported, 152 text messages of condolence were sent, reaching out to offer comfort during their difficult times.
Dr. Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kabouri, the Director of the Districts Affairs Department, praised the department's ongoing efforts since the launch of the community condolence service. This initiative aims to support families during times of loss, aligning with the vision of our wise leadership to foster social cohesion and provide comfort to the people of Sharjah.
He highlighted that the qualitative statistics shared demonstrate the department's commitment to serving the community in accordance with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. The department is dedicated to continually enhancing its services to meet the needs of the community and strengthen social connections, ensuring support is available to families at all hours.
