Sharjah Police concludes “Safe Construction Environment” campaign

Sharjah24: Sharjah Police have concluded their awareness campaign titled “Safe Construction Environment,” which was launched last November in cooperation with Sharjah Municipality and the Sharjah Economic Development Department. The campaign aimed to enhance public safety and raise levels of security and prevention at construction sites, ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment.

Beneficiaries and awareness programmes

Sharjah Police reported that approximately 11,500 workers and contractors in the emirate’s construction sector benefited from the campaign. It was implemented through comprehensive awareness and guidance programmes delivered in both Arabic and English, helping to reinforce preventive concepts and promote compliance with security and safety requirements across various segments of society. This, in turn, positively contributes to protecting property and ensuring the continuity of work within a safe environment.

Appreciation and ongoing efforts

Sharjah Police expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to all strategic partners, commending their cooperation and active role in the success of the campaign and in delivering its awareness message to all sectors of the construction industry. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing awareness efforts aimed at strengthening community awareness, enhancing individuals’ understanding of negative practices and ways to reduce them, and promoting methods of preventing associated risks, in line with improving the quality of life in the Emirate of Sharjah.
