At the Heart of Sharjah, SPL organised a puppet theatre performance for children aged six to 13, in collaboration with Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts. The performance took young audiences on a journey through the history of Sharjah Public Libraries, from early printed books to today’s digital services, emphasising the importance of cultural heritage and identity. A hands-on puppet-making workshop followed the show, allowing children to explore their creativity through practical engagement.
At Kshisha Park, SPL hosted two workshops on translating literature into visual expression. In collaboration with Shurooq, a photography workshop introduced children to visual storytelling inspired by texts. Another workshop, organised with FUNN, encouraged participants to transform stories into visual compositions using nature-inspired materials.
