The Majlis brought together senior officials, representatives of economic and innovation institutions, and entrepreneurs, reflecting the emirate’s dynamic, knowledge-driven economic environment. It was jointly organised by SRTI Park, Invest in Sharjah, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), and the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa).
In her keynote remarks, Sheikha Bodour emphasised that Sharjah’s development path has long linked heritage with innovation and culture with enterprise. She described sustainability as the framework that ensures the creative industries remain resilient, competitive, and human-centric, and stressed the importance of collaboration across research, entrepreneurship, and investment to build an enduring economic ecosystem.
The evening also marked the graduation of the first cohort of the Sharjah Women Impact Fellowship, delivered in partnership with leading global institutions and empowering female entrepreneurs across key sectors. Sponsors of women’s entrepreneurship were honoured during the event.
A main panel discussion, titled “Sharjah Business Updates – Sustainability and the Creative Economy”, featured leaders from Invest in Sharjah, Sheraa, Shurooq, and SRTI Park. The discussion focused on integrating sustainability into economic growth models, accelerating innovation, and strengthening the competitiveness of the creative industries.
Officials highlighted global growth in creative and green economies, emphasising Sharjah’s role in attracting high-value investment and embedding sustainability standards across development projects.
On the sidelines of the Majlis, several strategic agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed, including partnerships between SRTI Park and Nokia, Shurooq and J.S. Lootah, Invest in Sharjah and Navis International Trade and Consulting, and Sheraa joining Microsoft for Startups. These agreements aim to accelerate innovation, attract quality investment, and reinforce Sharjah’s position as a regional hub for business and technology.
