Sharjah24: Abdullah Imran Al Khayyal, Director of the Government Communication Department at the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah, stated that the department has designated 750 mosques across the emirate’s cities and regions to hold Tahajjud prayers during the last ten nights of the holy month of Ramadan. This allows worshippers to perform the prayer close to their homes in an atmosphere filled with faith and devotion.

Abdullah Imran Al Khayyal, explained that the department is keen to prepare the houses of Allah to receive worshippers during the last ten nights of the holy month of Ramadan.

He noted that the department approved 750 mosques across the emirate’s cities and regions to hold Tahajjud prayers, making it easier for residents to perform the prayer near their homes. He added that Sharjah Mosque witnessed a heavy influx of worshippers and noticeable crowding on the 27th night of Ramadan as they gathered to observe the prayer.

Renowned Qur’an reciters enhance the spiritual atmosphere

In statements to Sharjah 24, Al Khayyal affirmed that the mosques host a selection of Sharjah’s well-known Qur’an reciters, recognised for their humble recitation and melodious voices. This contributes to creating a spiritual atmosphere filled with reassurance and tranquillity, helping worshippers reflect and maintain devotion during these blessed nights.

Volunteers support worshippers and organise prayer rows

Al Khayyal also praised the efforts of volunteers from the Sharjah Volunteer Centre, affiliated with the Sharjah Social Services Department, who participate in serving worshippers and organising prayer rows inside mosques. Their efforts reflect the spirit of cooperation and solidarity that characterises the UAE community during the holy month of Ramadan.
