In the boys’ category, Savin Safarullah Khan secured first place with 6.5 points from seven rounds, followed by Rashid Hussein Al Hammadi in second and Sultan Al Muhairi in third — all representing Sharjah Cultural Chess Club.
In the girls’ category, Asina Gulizadeh of Kalba Club claimed first place with six points, ahead of Shamma Khalfan Al Suwaidi of Dubai Chess Club, while Ohoud Issa from Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women finished third with 5.5 points.
Dr Sultan Ali Al Taher, Technical Director of the UAE Chess Federation, said the championship reflected a high technical level and notable development in the player base.
