Sharjah Police welcomes National Counselling Centre delegation

Sharjah 24 – Sharjah Police (SP), represented by the Penal and Correctional Institution, hosted a National Counselling Centre delegation to strengthen joint cooperation, share inmate affairs management best practices, and explore vocational rehabilitation programs.


An agreement to reform

The delegation was welcomed by Colonel Abdullah Muhayan Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of Penal and Correctional, and Lieutenant Colonel Major Khalfan Salem Al Alili, Reform and Rehabilitation Department Director. Director of Inmate Affairs Ahmed Mohammed Al Kaabi and Supporting Programmes Department Head Abdullah Ali Al Sharif Al Zaabi were part of the visiting delegation.

Sharing what makes others comfortable

The delegation was provided with a thorough overview of the rehabilitation and reform initiatives undertaken by Sharjah Police, which are designed to enhance the quality of life for inmates and support their reintegration into society. The delegation also learned about physical and psychological rehabilitation programs, which are part of the leadership's integrated institutional approach to best practices in healthcare, rehabilitation, and reform.

A common commitment to community health

After the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the importance of combining institutional efforts and deepening expertise to develop rehabilitation programs, improve services, and improve community quality of life.
