Scheduled maintenance and upgrades
SDPW confirmed that its technical teams carried out periodic maintenance following a strict and detailed schedule. This included technical inspections, deep cleaning of air conditioning units, replacement of damaged parts, and system adjustments for optimal summer performance.
Wide scope of work
The maintenance work covered more than 2,000 government buildings and over 200,000 assets belonging to various government agencies. All work was coordinated with relevant authorities to maintain business continuity and ensure a healthy, comfortable environment for both employees and visitors.
Preventive maintenance as a strategic priority
Engineer Hadef Al Khedher, Director of the Building Maintenance Department at SDPW, stated that this initiative is part of the department’s annual preventive maintenance plan. The plan aims to enhance infrastructure across government facilities and support the consistent delivery of quality public services.
Emphasis on efficiency and responsiveness
Al Khedher highlighted the department’s commitment to proactive maintenance: “We are keen to carry out proactive maintenance work on the equipment. Air conditioning is essential before the summer season, given its pivotal role in ensuring user comfort and uninterrupted operation. The department's work teams are also ready to deal with any sudden breakdowns with the highest levels of efficiency and speed.”
Commitment to high standards
SPW continues to implement its maintenance and technical programs in line with the highest approved specifications and standards, reinforcing the reliability of government building infrastructure throughout the year.
