Sharjah 24: In a lively and patriotic atmosphere, the Sharjah Public Works Department held a special celebration for Eid Al Etihad, showcasing a variety of cultural and entertaining activities that highlighted the spirit of the Union and the essence of Emirati identity.

The event kicked off with the national anthem, followed by a warm welcome for all attendees. Exciting interactive competitions then took place, featuring fun national trivia and games, which encouraged great participation from employees and offered some attractive prizes. Attendees could capture their patriotic moments through instant photographs and enjoy a range of popular Emirati dishes along with the warm hospitality typical of the culture. Festive musical performances by the military band and the Emirates War Band also enhanced the celebratory atmosphere.

The activities included hands-on workshops focused on traditional crafts and modern art, such as making bags from palm leaves, resin art, creating marine-themed accessories, macrame, and terrarium art. These workshops allowed employees to engage in creative activities that deepened their connection to local culture and encouraged artistic expression.

Additionally, there was a mobile museum brought in by the Sharjah Museums Authority, showcasing selected artifacts from Sharjah's history. This special museum, located in a customized van, invited visitors to explore fascinating historical items from various periods.

Overall, this celebration demonstrated the department’s dedication to nurturing loyalty and belonging, while also boosting national pride among employees, in line with its vision of supporting their cultural and social identity.
