Sharjah Police announces integrated plan to address rainy weather

Sharjah24: Major Fahd Al Baloushi, Head of the Internal Roads Patrols Section at Sharjah Police, announced that the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Sharjah Police has undertaken intensive preparations, in coordination with strategic partners, to address the repercussions of the prevailing weather conditions.

Comprehensive and well-structured plan

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Major Al Baloushi explained that the preparations are being implemented as part of a comprehensive and well-structured plan based on several key pillars. Foremost among these is strengthening the deployment of traffic patrols across internal and external road networks, ensuring road safety, and implementing all necessary measures and arrangements to continuously monitor developments related to the weather conditions.

Call for road users to exercise caution

In concluding his statement, Major Fahd Al Baloushi urged road users to prioritise safety and avoid risky behaviours, such as crossing waterlogged roads. He also advised motorists to refrain from driving except in cases of absolute necessity during rainfall, until weather conditions improve and normalcy is restored.
