The Dibba Al-Hisn Parents Council, affiliated with the Districts Affairs Department, actively participated in the national campaign, engaging parents, staff, and educators. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about learning difficulties, explain methods for understanding them, and emphasise the roles of both family and schools in supporting students to overcome educational challenges effectively.
The programme saw the participation of 46 educational specialists, alongside numerous parents and community members, creating an interactive knowledge-sharing platform. It included educational, family, and behavioural consultations, as well as an interactive tour of a learning difficulties simulation lab. This allowed participants to experience and understand the challenges faced by students with learning difficulties, while enhancing awareness of appropriate support strategies and mechanisms.
The initiative aligns with the council’s strategic goal of fostering community partnerships between schools, parents, and the wider society, contributing to a supportive educational environment that accommodates students with learning difficulties and promotes their academic and psychological success.
