SEWA raises awareness among visitors to Al Qasimi Hospital

Sharjah24 : The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) organised a series of events and activities at Al Qasimi Hospital to raise awareness among staff and visitors about the importance of rationalising the consumption of energy and water, and about the optimal use of these vital resources. This comes as part of the authority’s commitment to its social responsibility.

Community campaign to promote conservation

Rashid Al Marzouqi, Director of the Media and Communication Department at SEWA, explained that the authority’s campaign to rationalise electricity and water consumption is implemented in cooperation with all departments, authorities and institutions across Sharjah. The campaign aims to raise awareness among various segments of society—including institutions, organisations and individuals—about the importance of conserving energy and water, as they are fundamental to life, productivity, development and progress.

He also highlighted the significant efforts exerted by SEWA in the production, desalination, transmission and distribution of water, as well as the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. He noted that the authority continuously implements an intensive conservation plan through a wide range of programmes targeting all segments of society.

Distribution of educational materials

Saif Al Naqbi, Head of the Awareness and Education Section at SEWA, added that the activities organised at the hospital benefited a large number of staff and visitors. He said that various publications and gifts were distributed to participants to enhance their awareness of correct conservation practices and responsible consumption behaviours.
