SEWA provides Zulal water to 351 schools and nurseries in 2025

Sharjah24: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) continues its efforts to serve the community by providing free Zulal water to students in 351 public and private schools and nurseries across the Emirate of Sharjah. More than 277,058 5-gallon bottles were distributed in 2025 to support students' health and safety.

Majed Al Owais, Director of the Zulal Water Factory, confirmed that SEWA is developing the plant, enhancing its competitiveness, and expanding its production capacity to meet growing demand for its products.

Al Owais also noted SEWA's commitment to supporting schools, various organisations, and community events, reflecting the authority's dedication to social responsibility and a goal that all employees strive to achieve daily, adhering to the highest standards of service excellence. He explained that Zulal adheres to the highest international standards in providing pure bottled water as an essential service to the community, while maintaining the highest quality standards to safeguard public health and safety, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.

Complying with the latest international specifications and standards

Al Owais added that the authority launched a new identity for Zulal products to mark the 30th anniversary of the factory's inauguration, drawing inspiration from the heritage and authentic values of the Mleiha region through a logo inspired by sand dunes and Arabic calligraphy, and by developing environmentally friendly packaging. This reflects Zulal's commitment to providing high-quality drinking water from natural underground sources in the Hamda area of Mleiha.

Zulal water products also comply with the latest international specifications and standards for the water industry and are continuously developed to meet market demands. They are available at retail outlets, cooperatives, and associations nationwide, and can be ordered directly through the Zulal.ae website.
