This represents a 14.31% increase.

Engineer Abdulrahim Al Zarouni, Director of Shared Services, explained that the Authority is continuously developing and updating the services provided to its customers in cooperation with its strategic partners. This comes in implementation of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the necessity of providing the best services to the Emirate's residents, both citizens and expatriates, and taking all measures to save them time and effort and facilitate their transactions. This is in line with the requirements of the Emirate's development process and to achieve customer satisfaction with the Authority by using technology and smart applications to improve and develop services.

Al Zarouni pointed out that the number of applications for plan approvals received during 2025 included 6,486 applications for electricity plans, 4,283 applications for water plans, a total of 6,833 applications for gas plans, and 271 applications for plans for large projects.

Positive indicators of the economic, social, and urban development in Sharjah

Al Zarouni affirmed that the number of applications for plan approvals and permanent connections to electricity, water, and natural gas services is steadily increasing due to the expansions and development projects underway in all areas of the Emirate of Sharjah. This increase provides positive indicators of the economic, social, and urban development that Sharjah is witnessing. He noted that the Authority is continuing to implement projects and expansions in the electricity, water, and natural gas networks to meet the needs and requirements of all areas.

Al Zarouni added that the Shared Services Department at SEWA receives all transactions through the smart platform and works in continuous coordination with representatives of consulting firms, contractors, and investors to study and update technical requirements, facilitate procedures for electricity and water applications, and activate strategic partnerships to develop procedures, expedite transactions, and ensure the accurate and efficient review and approval of plans, saving time and effort for customers.
