Sharjah24: Mleiha Cultural Sports Club continued its sporting success by winning 27 medals at the 2026 Competitive Swimming Championship, part of the 2025–2026 Swimming Cup series, held at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai. The championship concluded on Monday with the participation of leading swimming clubs from across the UAE.

Mleiha Club’s swimmers delivered an impressive performance, winning a total of 27 medals, including 10 gold, 11 silver, and 4 bronze. The results reflect the steady progress of the club’s swimming programme and the high level of readiness demonstrated by athletes across age groups.

Leadership praises institutional planning

Commenting on the achievement, Mohammed Sultan Khasouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of Mleiha Cultural Sports Club, expressed pride in the team’s performance. He noted that the results are the outcome of structured institutional work, sound planning, and the athletes’ disciplined commitment. Al Ketbi emphasised that the club will continue to provide full support to its swimmers and ensure an enabling environment that enables them to excel and represent the club with distinction in future competitions.

He added that the achievement provides strong motivation to build on current successes and prepare confidently for upcoming championships, reinforcing the club’s focus on developing individual sports and nurturing young talent.
