Sharjah24: The emirate of Sharjah, represented by the city of Khorfakkan, will host the Cybersh West Asia 2026 Autonomous Submarine Competition, held on 7–8 February 2026. The event is organised in partnership with the Rubu' Qarn Centre for Science and Technology in Sharjah, the Robotics and Automation Society, the International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Company, and in collaboration with the Sharjah Maritime Academy, the host partner for the competition.

The Cybersh West Asia competition serves as the official regional qualifier for the international championship. Over 30 teams and 150 participants aged 10 to 16 from Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Asia will take part, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan. The challenge follows an integrated practical curriculum combining science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), with a particular focus on marine engineering concepts, enhancing skills in innovation, engineering thinking, and hands-on learning.

Rubu' Qarn Centre for Science and Technology’s participation as a co-organiser reflects its commitment to supporting high-quality scientific initiatives and enabling students to gain practical educational experiences that meet future demands, preparing a generation of innovators capable of competing in advanced science and technology fields.
