The two-day championship, hosted at Nasha’a Mleiha Centre, brought together 34 teams representing various entities across the UAE. Participants aged 8 to 18 competed in a dynamic, creative environment that reflected the growing enthusiasm among future generations for modern technology and future sciences.
The championship marked the culmination of the Mobile Robotics Programme, organised by the Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Science and Technology, over five months. Participants undertook an integrated educational journey that enabled them to develop ideas, build innovative robots and test their performance across multiple stages before reaching the final challenge arena.
Teams competed by designing and programming robots to perform specific tasks in simulated real-world environments, combining engineering, coding and strategic thinking to enhance problem-solving and applied innovation skills.
Beyond technical excellence, the competition focused on strengthening key personal skills, including teamwork, leadership, communication, time management and responsibility, reinforcing positive competition values aligned with the season’s message, “Values in the Age of Technology.”
A total of 16 awards were presented across categories, including overall performance, engineering design, programming, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Science and Technology will continue its competitive programmes during Innovation Season 2026 by hosting the UAE National VEX Robotics Championship at Nasha’a Wasit Centre on 31 January and 1 February.
