SCC reviews strategies to boost investment

The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden, Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of the Committee Rapporteur, Her Excellency Dr Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, and members Engineer Nabil Butti Al Muhairi, Abdullah Taresh Al Ketbi, Tariq Murad Al Blooshi, Mohammed Abdullah Al Blooshi, and Saif bin Suwaif Al Ketbi, the Secretary of the Council.

The meeting was part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to achieve the emirate’s development objectives and to review initiatives related to economic and industrial growth.

Focus on investment climate and private sector

Discussions centred on mechanisms to stimulate the investment environment and to attract capital to the emirate. Members emphasised the importance of developing policies that support the private sector and of simplifying procedures to enhance economic competitiveness, in line with Sharjah’s strategic vision.

The committee also reviewed key issues related to economic diversification and the promotion of promising industrial sectors. Members explored ways to integrate modern technologies and innovation into production processes to increase added value.

Infrastructure and future opportunities

Participants discussed both challenges and opportunities associated with the continued development of logistics and industrial infrastructure that supports Sharjah’s economy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden emphasised that the committee’s role is to provide practical recommendations and proposals that support the emirate’s economic and financial policies. He highlighted the importance of collective efforts to develop actionable visions that drive economic and industrial growth and ensure sustainable prosperity.
