ACRES 2025 records major property deals exceeding AED 5 billion

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition "Acres 2026," organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Leader Events, took place from January 21 to 24, 2026, at Expo Centre Sharjah.

The exhibition facilitated real estate transactions exceeding AED 5 billion, a 17% increase compared to the previous year. The Sharjah Executive Council's decision to reduce real estate transaction registration fees for projects in the Emirate of Sharjah, implemented only during the exhibition, significantly contributed to the increased attendance.

 

More than 18,000 visitors and 120 exhibitors

 

The event attracted over 18,000 visitors, including investors, stakeholders, and real estate professionals. This further solidified the exhibition's position as one of the most important specialised real estate exhibitions in the UAE and the region. This exceptional edition featured over 120 exhibitors from leading real estate development and investment companies, as well as prominent developers from across the UAE, showcasing more than 200 projects. Real estate, ranging from luxury residential units and modern villas to innovative commercial and industrial projects and investment land.

 

The event also witnessed the announcement of the launch of several high-quality real estate projects for the first time both within and outside the UAE, in addition to offering numerous distinguished real estate investment opportunities, attractive discounts, and flexible payment plans targeting various investor segments.

 

Sustainable growth in the real estate sector

 

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, affirmed that the results achieved by "Acres 2026" reflect the dynamism of the emirate's real estate market and its ability to efficiently absorb economic shifts within an investment environment built on trust and a balance between economic growth and quality of life. He noted that the exhibition has successfully established its role as a comprehensive economic platform, transcending the concept of real estate promotion to support investment decision-making by bringing together developers, financiers, and investors within an institutional framework that enhances the efficiency of the real estate market.

 

His Excellency Al Owais explained that the exhibition's success reflects the integrated roles of the organisers and partners from both the public and private sectors. It embodies Sharjah's vision of establishing a real estate sector based on long-term planning and sustainability. He noted that the large turnout of visitors and investors reflects the strength of the emirate's real estate sector and demonstrates the effectiveness of the supportive policies established by the wise leadership, which has contributed to solidifying Sharjah's position as a stable, secure, and attractive investment destination.

 

Leading position

 

For his part, His Excellency Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, stated that the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition "ACRES 2026" achieved remarkable success, registering 2,747 sales transactions with a total value of AED 5 billion. This reflects the high level of participation and investor confidence in Sharjah's real estate market, and confirms the growing prominence of the sector in the emirate.

 

His Excellency Al Shamsi explained that the significant government support for the exhibition, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, and the Executive Council's approval of a package of discounts and special offers, have directly contributed to stimulating real estate transactions and increasing visitor turnout, in addition to boosting the confidence of investors and visitors from within and outside the country. He emphasised that this support embodies the Sharjah government's commitment to developing the real estate sector and propelling it towards broader horizons of growth, aspiring to a sustainable real estate future that meets current and future market needs.

 

His Excellency Al Shamsi added that organising the exhibition falls within the Department's strategy aimed at promoting real estate investment in the emirate and highlighting the unique opportunities, incentives, and facilities available to investors and businesspeople, thus supporting those wishing to buy and own property in a market experiencing continuous growth.

 

Supporting innovation

 

For his part, His Excellency Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Real Estate Sector Working Group at the Chamber and Chairman of the Exhibition's Organising Committee, explained that the outcomes of "Acres 2026" reflect the qualitative growth it has witnessed year after year. He pointed out that the exhibition contributed to enhancing direct interaction between exhibitors and investors, allowing for a more accurate understanding of market needs and directing attention towards projects characterised by sustainability and economic viability in the medium and long term. He noted that the diversity of projects presented and the accompanying financing solutions enhanced the exhibition's ability to attract different segments of investors and contributed to creating a distinguished competitive environment that supports innovation in the real estate sector. He emphasised that the success achieved reflects the efficiency of the organisation and the integration among partners, and lays the foundation for more impactful future editions, thus strengthening "Acres" position as one of the most prominent specialised real estate exhibitions at the national and regional levels.

 

Transparency and governance

 

For his part, Nawaf Obaid, CEO of the "Acres" exhibition stated that the current edition marked a significant milestone in the exhibition's history, in terms of the level of interaction and the quality of partnerships forged during its duration. He added that the results achieved reflect the exhibition's success in providing a well-organised and reliable environment that brings together various market stakeholders and supports the launch of initiatives and projects that enhance the efficiency of the real estate sector and solidify the principles of transparency and governance. He further stated that "Acres" continues to develop its tools and platforms to keep pace with market aspirations and contribute to supporting a leading real estate ecosystem capable of responding to economic transformations with confidence and sustainability.

 

Enhancing well-being

 

For her part, Nourine Nasrallah, Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Brand Building at Alef Group, confirmed that the group presented the first appearance of its "Palace Residences" brand in the Emirate of Sharjah during the exhibition. The focus is not on the concept of luxury in its traditional sense, but rather on the quality of the living experience, through thoughtful design and spaces that enhance well-being and complement the Walk's identity.

 

The Alef project embodies a concept of contemporary living that is connected to nature and tranquility within the city, through green spaces and community facilities that enhance the balance between privacy and social interaction.

 

Launch of the second phase of Khalid Bin Sultan City

 

Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice Chairman of Beeah, stated that the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES) has become a pivotal strategic platform reflecting the rapid development of the real estate sector in the emirate and solidifying Sharjah’s position as a leading destination for sustainable real estate investment. He emphasised that following the remarkable success of the first phase of Khalid Bin Sultan City, the group announced the launch of the second phase, which represents an integrated community focused on sustainability, smart technology, and quality of life, strategically located in the Rawdat Al Sidr area.

 

Luxury residential projects

 

Engineer Raymond Khazami, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thuraya Real Estate Group, stated that Al Thuraya has developed a distinguished portfolio of luxury waterfront projects, most notably the 55-story S1 Tower, the 45-story La Plage 1 and 2 Towers, the 41-story Almaza Tower, the 51-story 88 Tower, the 42-story Al Alia Tower, and the 40-story Sharjah Terraces Tower. These projects offer a variety of units, including one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments, as well as penthouses and sky villas, along with a comprehensive range of recreational services and amenities such as swimming pools and clubs. This reflects a vision of developing integrated residential communities that elevate the waterfront lifestyle.

 

Sustainable projects

 

His Excellency Khalifa Sultan bin Hareb emphasised that Al Rasikhoon Real Estate's participation in the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES 2026) stemmed from the event's importance as the largest real estate platform in the UAE. He highlighted its strategic opportunity to showcase high-quality real estate projects and enhance direct communication with investors and decision-makers in the real estate sector. Bin Hareb stated that the company was keen to present its diverse projects, reflecting its vision of developing sustainable projects that meet market aspirations and keep pace with urban growth. Among these projects is Rawdat Al Sidr, a strategic development announced by the company in Sharjah. Spanning approximately 8.5 million square feet, it includes residential, commercial, and industrial land plots and aims to provide diverse investment opportunities for buyers and investors within the emirate. He added that the Al Qasimia Gate land project is another major project launched in Sharjah and included in the company's offerings at the exhibition. The project spans over 9,600,000 square feet and is valued at more than one billion dirhams.

 

Residential and tourism projects

 

Engineer Amer Al Zarouni, General Manager of Asas Real Estate, indicated that the company showcased a distinguished portfolio of its projects at the exhibition, catering to the needs of various investor and buyer segments. These projects encompass residential, tourism, commercial, and industrial developments in strategic locations across the UAE, reflecting the company's vision of developing integrated communities. Among the projects presented was the Khorfakkan Resort, a luxury waterfront residential development on the eastern coast of Khorfakkan, boasting direct sea views and freehold ownership for all nationalities. Other projects included the Al Ruwaidhat residential and commercial land development in Sharjah, offering flexible investment opportunities for residential and commercial development, and the Al Sajaa Industrial Land development, serving the industrial and logistics sectors within a comprehensive infrastructure framework.

 

Cooperation agreements

 

The exhibition witnessed the signing of several agreements and strategic partnerships. The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department signed a cooperation agreement with Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad) aimed at empowering citizens to practice real estate brokerage according to approved professional standards and enhancing real estate training and education programmes. This will support expanding citizen participation in the market and creating new job opportunities. A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Innovation Experts Real Estate Institute and Al Ansari Consulting to develop innovative real estate solutions that support the sustainability of the real estate market.
