SP's participation in the exhibition included showcasing key security challenges related to drugs and cybercrime, as well as methods for preventing them, through an awareness corridor featuring innovative interactive stations focused on disseminating awareness. These stations addressed topics such as electronic fraud, impersonating official entities, electronic extortion, cyber hacking, the role of money transfers in drug-related crimes, the importance of protecting our country, and interactive electronic games. Additionally, there was a security briefing area and an interactive awareness games area, all designed to assess the impact of the security information gained by visitors to the corridor.
The platform also included a mural titled "The Decision Is in Your Hands," consisting of two walls, each representing a different life path an individual chooses. One wall depicts a "life of evil," a life of failure and negative influences that drag people down into the abyss of addiction, mental illness, and physical ailments. This wall includes educational materials and expressive models illustrating the path of addiction and its consequences, such as family breakdown, crime, imprisonment, or death.
The other wall represents a "life of good," a flourishing life for a healthy and well-adjusted individual. This wall also includes educational materials and models emphasizing the importance of commitment, good deeds, and their impact on family, society, and the nation.
Brigadier General Majid Al-Asam, Director of the Drug Prevention and Control Directorate, explained that the platform has strengthened its role in providing a comprehensive package of awareness programmes focused on drug prevention. These programmes emphasise the importance of decision-making in an individual's life, its connection to the surrounding environment, the dangers of neglecting decision-making, and the resulting consequences that can determine the course of life a person chooses. This is particularly relevant for young people in secondary school and national service personnel about to enter the workforce, contributing to raising their awareness and empowering them to make sound decisions that protect their future and support the stability of society.
Al-Asam added that the platform participated in the exhibition with a series of lectures and awareness workshops through its "Security Stops" corner, totaling more than 90 workshops and lectures. These aimed to deliver direct awareness messages to young people about the dangers of wrong behaviors and how to avoid them, thus preventing them from falling victim to drugs and cyber fraud.
For his part, Colonel Dr Khalifa Balhai, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, affirmed that SP's participation for the second consecutive year in the exhibition stems from its commitment to being present at various security events and exhibitions at all levels. This contributes to enhancing individuals' awareness of how to prevent becoming victims of cybercrimes. He also commended the role of the Ministry of Defense and the Military Police Command in organising the exhibition and their commitment to coordinating security and police efforts in the country to maintain the security and stability of society.
