The programme will be aired live daily on Sharjah Radio and Television and via the “Maraya” application throughout the holy month of Ramadan at 10pm for one hour. It will be broadcast from Al Zahri Hall at the University of Sharjah, where enthusiastic crowds will cheer on competing teams.
Hosted by media presenter Ahmed Boukalah, the programme features 28 teams selected by draw from registered families. Each team comprises three contestants and two substitutes. The competition begins with group-stage rounds, progressing to knockout stages, with the strongest teams advancing to the final.
The programme comprises two main segments. The first features general knowledge questions across cultural, national, heritage, sports, and scientific topics, along with questions related to Sharjah. Teams also choose between a visual question and a “Correct the Mistake” segment. The second segment is a speed round in which contestants answer 10 questions in 60 seconds, testing quick thinking and concentration.
The first-place team will receive AED 70,000 in cash from the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority and a car sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank. The second-place team will receive AED 50,000 from the Department of Suburbs Affairs. The third- and fourth-place teams will receive AED 30,000 and AED 15,000, respectively.
Daily audience prizes inside the hall will total AED 116,000 throughout the season, averaging AED 4,000 per day, in addition to a final-episode car draw for one audience member, sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank.
Amal Abdulrahman Al Owais, Director of Sharjah Radio, said the sixth season continues to establish the programme as a key Ramadan cultural event that strengthens Emirati family bonds. She noted that the show has evolved from a quiz into a platform that brings families together in a spirit of fair competition and social engagement.
She added that the renewed collaboration with the Department of Suburbs Affairs reflects institutional cooperation in serving the community and supports Sharjah’s vision of promoting family cohesion and national identity.
