The visit included inspections of key sites, during which the team reviewed the current condition of parks, the level of services, recreational facilities, and available infrastructure. They also listened to residents’ feedback, which focused on the need to expand green areas, provide modern children’s play zones, improve lighting and public amenities, and introduce rubberised walking paths.
Officials confirmed that the visit is part of a comprehensive plan to develop public parks and improve their surroundings, contributing to residents’ wellbeing and encouraging recreational and sporting activities in a safe, integrated setting. They added that the outcomes of the visit will inform future planning to ensure development projects meet community needs and align with ongoing urban growth in Al Dhaid.
The initiative reflects a community-focused approach, incorporating public feedback to improve services, enhance quality of life, and support sustainable development across the emirate.
The department recently completed Al Sidra Park and Al Hisn 1 Park in response to requests from the municipal council, as part of a broader package of development projects in Al Dhaid, with designs aimed at providing a fully integrated recreational and service environment.
