SDPW holds a specialized workshop on setting goals

The session brought together staff from across SDPW's departments and divisions. The focus of the session was on formulating clear goals and ensuring a direct link to projects and operational initiatives implemented across the emirate.

During the session, participants were introduced to practical methods for setting precise, measurable goals. The discussion examined how well-defined goals can support smoother workflows, clearer priorities, and stronger project outcomes. Participants were given practical tasks.

During the session, they were asked to take broad concepts and break them down into specific goals with clear steps and realistic deadlines.

Speakers also emphasised the importance of setting clear goals to deliver infrastructure projects efficiently and to maintain steady progress in improving public services across Sharjah.

Amani Ali, from the Human Resources and Financial Affairs Department at SDPW, says the initiative is part of the directorate's annual training programme. She explained that the programme aims to build staff capabilities, encourage continuous improvement, and promote a culture that values careful planning and practical results in line with the emirate’s development priorities.
