ALECGS was represented at the signing by His Excellency Dr Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Centre, while the Emirates Creative Association was represented by Her Excellency Sheikha Dr Khulood bint Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Association's Board of Directors. Several officials and specialists from both sides were also present.
The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance joint cooperation in supporting the Arabic language, developing the creative abilities of students and teachers, and developing high-quality programmes and initiatives that contribute to the use of Arabic in innovation. It also includes the exchange of expertise and the organisation of joint events that serve the objectives of both parties.
The memorandum comes as part of ALECGS efforts to expand its network of strategic partnerships, thereby strengthening its regional role in developing Arabic language education and supporting initiatives aimed at empowering it as a language of science, creativity, and culture.
The visit also included a tour of the centre (library, theatre, Arabic language exhibition, and exhibition of language activities) and its efforts in serving, teaching, and learning the Arabic language, in addition to the center's work in the field of linguistic creativity through publications, studies, and research (a study on developing creative writing skills for grades 10-12 using e-learning, and a study on developing creative language production skills for grades 4-6 using e-stories), competitions in short stories, novels, and poetry for students from ALECGS member states, and the Gulf Arabic Language Competitions, which aim to enhance students' linguistic creativity and boost their confidence in the Arabic language and their ability to express themselves creatively. A visual presentation was also given outlining the center's efforts, achievements, and activities since its establishment.
In his remarks on this occasion, Dr Issa Saleh Al Hammadi emphasised that the signing of this memorandum aligns with the centre’s commitment to building effective strategic partnerships with leading national and community institutions. This partnership aims to support the development of Arabic language education and enhance its presence in educational and creative environments. He also highlighted the importance of integration between educational and cultural institutions to achieve a sustainable impact in this field.
For her part, Her Excellency Sheikha Dr Khulood Humaid Al Qasimi expressed her pride in this partnership ALECGS. She affirmed that the association seeks, through this memorandum, to support initiatives that promote creativity in the Arabic language and open new horizons for creative individuals, particularly students and youth, in line with the demands of the modern era.
At the conclusion of the visit, ALECGS presented a commemorative shield to Her Excellency Sheikha Dr Khulood bint Humaid Al Qasimi, President of the Emirates Creativie Association, in recognition of the association's efforts in the field of creativity. The shield was presented by His Excellency Dr Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of ALECGS.
