Sharjah halts housing transfers of government-granted homes

Reason for the decision

This action comes after the detection of cases where individuals sold their homes after acquiring ownership. Such actions have led to family dispersal and negatively impacted social cohesion.

Department’s proposal

In a phone interview on the "Direct Line" programme on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, His Excellency stated that the department has submitted a proposal to the Emirate's Executive Council. The proposal outlines the issues and challenges caused by these unauthorised transactions.
