Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is participating this year in the 14th edition of the Dawahi Festival, organised annually by the Districts Affairs Department. SEWA is presenting a diverse programme designed to engage families and community members through a dedicated consultation corner that facilitates direct interaction with the public.

The platform presents SEWA’s services, highlights key achievements in energy and sustainability, and offers innovative demonstrations on optimal use of electricity and water. Interactive games, contests, and educational tools provide visitors with practical advice on conservation behaviours and efficient resource management.

SEWA underscores commitment to public engagement and sustainability

Rashid Al Marzouqi, Director of the Media and Communication Department at SEWA, affirmed the Authority’s yearly commitment to participating in the Dawahi Festival as part of its strategy to strengthen community engagement and raise awareness of SEWA’s services and sustainability initiatives. He observed that the festival has become a highly anticipated event for residents, providing joyful family experiences, enriching knowledge, and fostering a sense of belonging. He invited all community members to visit SEWA’s platform to benefit from the activities and interact with the trained team dedicated to delivering an engaging and informative programme.

Interactive activities, competitions and educational workshops

Saif Al Naqbi, Head of Education and Awareness at SEWA, stated that this year’s participation at Dawahi 14 in Al Qarayen 5 Park includes stage competitions for government entities, live audience engagement, prize giveaways, and dedicated children’s activities. The sustainability corner highlights conservation practices, while SEWA’s mascots and characters play a key role in distributing awareness gifts and creating a lively, cheerful atmosphere. The interactive workshops and hands-on activities in the children’s area further enhance SEWA’s educational value, reinforcing its mission to promote sustainability across all segments of society.
