Sharjah hosts fourth Football Stars Week with 36 global legends

Sharjah24: His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, has announced details of the fourth edition of Sharjah Football Stars Week, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

In exclusive statements to Sharjah24, Al Midfa said the international sporting event will feature 36 legendary football players from around the world. He highlighted that this year’s edition includes significant new additions that further enhance the event’s global profile.

FIFA recognition and global broadcast

Al Midfa revealed that the flagship Night of the Stars match, scheduled for January 11, 2026, at Sharjah Sports Club stadium, has received official accreditation from FIFA. The match will be broadcast worldwide via the FIFA+ platform, marking a major milestone in the event’s history and reinforcing Sharjah’s presence on the global sports stage.

Enhanced accompanying tournaments

He also noted the development of accompanying events, including padel tennis and FootGolf tournaments, through increased prize values and a larger number of participants, aimed at enriching the overall experience for athletes and spectators alike.
