SDPW holds asset management workshop

Sharjah24: The Maintenance Division of the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) organised a workshop for its strategic partners on the Government Asset and Facility Management Programme. The initiative aims to improve maintenance system efficiency and enhance the responsiveness and quality of services provided to government entities across the emirate.

Demonstration of the MRI digital platform

The workshop showcased the use of the MRI programme, a comprehensive digital platform that allows partner entities to submit and track operational reports in real-time. It also enables monitoring of progress stages and improves communication between work teams. The Maintenance Division team provided detailed explanations of the system’s features, steps for submitting reports, verification mechanisms, and integration with preventive and operational maintenance plans.

Commitment to digital transformation and best practices

The department highlighted that the workshop reflects its commitment to developing services and adopting best technical practices, aligning with Sharjah Government’s vision to enhance digital transformation and infrastructure efficiency. Participants praised the system’s ease of use and its role in speeding up processes and improving maintenance quality.

Ongoing partnership and sustainable maintenance

The department plans to continue holding similar workshops to strengthen partnerships with various entities and ensure the delivery of sustainable, effective maintenance services that meet the emirate’s needs and future ambitions. Sharjah Public Works oversees operational maintenance for over 430 government buildings and facilities, covering more than 65,000 government assets.
