Students from both private and public schools across Sharjah, at all grade levels, benefited from these activities, reflecting a commitment to fostering a culture of conservation among future generations. The events also targeted the general public through a number of interactive programmes that raised community awareness and reinforced the concept of sustainability.
Rashid Al Marzouqi, Director of Media and Communication at SEWA, explained that the awareness events and workshops organised by the Authority in 2025 included workshops in nurseries and schools, participation in various events and exhibitions, and the organisation of the "Future Engineer Camp" and other activities. Al Marzouqi emphasised that SEWA continuously strives to provide the best and to expand its diverse programmes and activities to reach the widest possible segment of society. This includes focusing on using modern methods and innovative tools in awareness and education to ensure a positive impact on various groups, thereby empowering them to make decisions that contribute to conservation, reduce their consumption bills, and protect the environment.
Saif Al Naqbi, Head of the Awareness and Education Department, explained that the Authority is organising a series of diverse activities to develop the skills and knowledge of various segments of society. This stems from the Authority's ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the importance of optimal energy and water use, to seek out new and innovative solutions, and to promote excellence and innovation in serving the community and supporting the sustainable development journey in the Emirate of Sharjah for 2026.
