SEWA extended medium- and low-voltage networks by more than 457 kilometres during the year. The authority also commissioned 330 electrical transformers to supply power to the new projects, ensuring reliable and efficient energy distribution across the emirate.
The authority approved 2,449 electrical distribution panels in line with its technical specifications. These approvals reflect SEWA’s commitment to delivering high-quality services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects while supporting the emirate’s growth and development.
Engineer Ahmed Al Bass, Deputy Director of the Electricity Distribution Department, said the authority continues to enhance its services and connect buildings across all areas of Sharjah to power using the highest technical standards. He noted that SEWA is also adopting smart devices and applications to improve services for residents.
Al Bass added that in 2025, the authority carried out 1,726 technical inspections of projects and issued 7,607 initial electricity inspection certificates after verifying full compliance with safety and security requirements.
