Sharjah and Shanghai join forces in performing arts

Sharjah 24: Dr Adnan Sloom, an expert in performing arts at the Rubu' Qarn Centre for Theatre and Performing Arts, shared that the “Crossing, Connecting, Integrating” exhibition is designed to build on what participants learned from the Digital Theatre project. This project focuses on helping individuals develop their skills in various areas of theater, including set design and production.

In comments made to “Sharjah 24,” Dr Sloom emphasized that this exhibition opens up new opportunities for collaboration with the Shanghai Theatre Academy, highlighting the strong relationship they have established through mutual visits. He noted that partnering with this prestigious Chinese institution, a leader in the performing arts for more than 80 years, is critical.

He also explained that the exhibition seeks to create a rich artistic conversation that blends traditional theater styles with modern trends and future possibilities. The showcased works will highlight the themes of cooperation, creativity, and cultural exchange between different artistic approaches.
